Main Ice
Multi-Purpose Ice
General to all drop-in sessions

• General building policies and specifics apply to all drop-in sessions.
• FACE COVERINGS required at all times, by all patrons ages three and above, including while exercising on the ice.
• ONLINE REGISTRATION for all sessions. SLATER FAMILY ICE ARENA MEMBERSHIP (no cost) required for registration.
• Registration for sessions opens 48 hours prior to session. Sessions will be viewable online in advance.
• Enter building and CHECK-IN following established building protocol and traffic flow for all patrons (skaters, chaperones, coaches, etc.)
• COME DRESSED and get skates on in readiness areas. Coming into the arena with skate guards on is ideal. Locker rooms not available until later phases. Exceptions may be made for goalies, who may need to put on additional equipment at the rink.
• Enter and exit ice following established 6-foot physical distancing staggering for each sheet of ice
• Chaperone to wait in designated viewing area per sheet of ice
• No personal items on boards except for water
• No access to player/penalty benches, except for virtual lesson assistance by one chaperone
• No stopping or congregating in groups of any size, unless with and directed by a coach using physical distancing guidelines
• One chaperone to accompany minor participant(s). No additional or unattended children.

Figure skating sessions

• It is recommended that skaters be working on at least Basic 4 and at an appropriate age to maintain skater awareness to skate on a session unsupervised by a coach in a private lesson.
• LOCAL sessions are available for skaters with any level of 2020-2021 BGSC USFS membership or Slater Family Ice Arena LTS USA membership (membership season July 1 – June 30).
• OPEN sessions are for any figure skaters meeting the above skill level/age criteria. To register must at least have a Slater Family Ice Arena Patron membership (no cost).
• Capacity restricted to 10 skaters per session
• Warm ups performed outside
• When necessary, only one participant chaperone will be designated to play music each session
• Skaters keep moving during session unless speaking with coach in designated area
• Coaches and students maintain 6-foot physical distancing along boards during instruction
• Coaches remain within same 6-foot physically distanced area for the duration of the session(s). No skating around with student.
• Virtual lessons via phone/tablet with chaperone located in the player bench allowed as long as 6-foot physical distancing maintained.

50 minute sessions: $10.00
1 hour 20 minute sessions: $15.00
